The edit
Five Aussie childhood favourites: the watch routes we could verify
Keep the nostalgia list, but distinguish a playable episode from a catalogue page or an unverified upload.
Our considered edit
The picks
Agro’s Cartoon Connection
Keep it on the nostalgia watchlist. The NFSA has a historical collection entry; we did not verify a current authorised Australian streaming or buying route.
Cheez TV
A favourite retained from the original list. We did not verify a current authorised Australian episode source; an old search result is not a viewing offer.
Round the Twist
ABC iview’s official page says it is not currently available. Save a watchlist reminder rather than assuming that page has playable episodes.
The Ferals
ABC’s puppeteer interview is a useful historical reference, not a streaming offer. No current authorised viewing or buying route was confirmed in this check.
Bananas in Pyjamas Classic
ABC iview’s Australian programme page currently displays a Watch Episode 1 route and season listings. Open the official page to check the episodes available when you watch.
Original five-show selection retained. Australian official broadcaster/collection pages checked 6 October 2026. Only the Bananas Classic episode route was verified; no unofficial uploads or unavailable disc listing counted as an offer.
Agro, Cheez TV, Round the Twist, The Ferals and the classic Bananas in Pyjamas were the five picks in our original nostalgia list. Remembering them is easy; finding an authorised version you can actually watch takes a separate check.
The clearest current route in this check is ABC iview’s Bananas in Pyjamas Classic page, which displays a playable episode link. In contrast, ABC’s Round the Twist page explicitly says it is not currently available. A show page and an available episode are different things.
Keep a watchlist separate from the shopping budget
For titles without a verified viewing route, save the name and a note in your watchlist. Do not add an imaginary rental charge to your grocery total. If you find a disc later, check the seller, region compatibility, edition and stock before creating a priced purchase.
The NFSA’s Agro collection entry and ABC’s interview about The Ferals are useful background links. They are not episode offers. We have not treated unofficial video uploads or an unavailable DVD listing as places to watch or buy.
Availability can change after this check. Reopen the broadcaster’s page before settling on tonight’s choice, and check age suitability for your group. For a movie with a verified Australian provider route instead, explore our Home Alone night or three cosy film ideas.
